Alec Bruce tapped for two Atlantic Journalism Awards

Me goodself has been honoured as a finalist in magazine writing in the 2009 Atlantic Journalism Awards: For “Business Reporting” and in another category, “Atlantic Magazine – Best Article”.

I would like to thank the Academy. . .etc.

Seriously, though, Atlantic Business Magazine is just about the best crop of professionals it’s been my pleasure to know over my nearly three decades of scribbling for a living. Fullsome thanks goes to Dawn, Edwina, Hubert, Jason, Tonia, Sharon, et. al.

ABM — where brilliance meets courage!

  1. Tried to email you but your gmail account bounced back. Anyway, just wanted to congratulate you on being picked as a finalist. Not because I believe Savoie is an Oracle. ;)

  2. David Clark Says:

Alec, congratulations on your award nominations. Wishing you well in the judging. Better dust off your bib and tucker just in case. Love your column and read it regularly. It is one of the resources I rely on to maintain an East Coast connection. I’ve been meaning to send you a note to let you know that and this seemed like the right occasion. The incendiary economic issue out here at the moment is harmonization of federal and provincial sales taxes into an HST. I would be interested in your perspective from the East Coast to learn if the arguements in support of a harmonized sales tax square with the experience in Atlantic Canada.
